Malamute List Etiquette Guidelines

Be aware that there may be members from many countries and be sensitive to cultural differences. Also, English may be a second language to some members! (as is the case for your list owner - raised and born in Sweden)

When you join the group, please write an introductory note and tell us a little about yourself, your dogs and your interests.

Keep the posts Alaskan Malamute related. Common dog topics and general discussions about dogs, sledding, and animals rights issues are also discouraged as there are already a number of fine mailing lists and news groups set up to deal with these issues (eg. rec.pets.dogs.*, sleddog, and CANINE-L).

While debating of issues is encouraged, personal flames, directed at anyone on list or off, are strongly discouraged on this list and will not be tolerated!!!!! Use good taste and common sense!

Please add your real name and eMail address at the end of your message.

When replying to a message, try not to quote the entire message, especially if it's long. Just quote what you intend to comment on.

Try to keep your signature to a reasonable length.

E-mail sent to the group is not to be retransmitted without the explicit permission from their original sender.

Blatantly commercial postings, ads, chain letters, etc., are unwelcome. Information on breeders and rescue-organizations to contact is welcome.

Try to use informative subject lines for your posts.

If your reply wouldn't interest anybody except the person you're replying to, send it privately.

Requests for information about particular judges, opinions of them, their likes and dislikes, etc. is fine. However, responses should be made by private email, and not sent to the list.

If you feel you cannot abide by these rules, please unsubscribe now. Individuals who violate the above rules are subject to warning(s) or removal from the list at the discretion of the list owner.

Once again, welcome to the Malamute List! Participate and enjoy!
